In Lords of the Fallen, unlocking and upgrading your Ancient Lamps is key to making progress through the dark and treacherous realm to gain more Lords of the Fallen vigor. To upgrade lamps beyond Level 3, you need special Antediluvian Chisels hidden in secret areas. This guide will cover all of the Antediluvian Chisel locations so you can maximize your lamp upgrades.
Understanding Lamp Upgrades
Lamps start at Level 1 and can be upgraded at checkpoints up to Level 3 using Fragments. However, to reach the maximum Level 5, you need 2 Antediluvian Chisels which are rare LotF Items hidden in the world.

The first chisel can be obtained in The Gauntlet area. After lowering the bridge and reaching the central platform, locate the scaffolding on the right side. Climb the scaffolding to the top to find a crawlspace hidden behind some barrels. Crawl through and drop down to find the Lords of the Fallen Antediluvian Chisel on a corpse.
Chisel #2 Location - The Tower
To find the second chisel, head to The Tower zone. Make your way to the top of the tower until you reach the Masked Lord boss arena. Instead of entering the fog door, turn right and look for a narrow stone bridge leading to an adjacent tower top. Cross the bridge and enter the small tower to find another chisel LotF Item.
Upgrading Your Lamp
Once you have both Antediluvian Chisels, you can now upgrade your Ancient Lamp beyond Level 3 at any checkpoint to gain more Lords of the Fallen vigor. Interact with a checkpoint's power source and select the "Imbue" option. Provided you have enough Fragments, you can upgrade your equipped lamp up to the maximum Level 5. With two chisels collected, focus any subsequent upgrades on your most used lamp to maximize your benefits. The extra brightness and duration will really pay off.
Tips for Lamp Usage
Here are some tips to use your lamp most effectively:
- Activate your lamp manually only when needed so it lasts longer.
